Who's on your Vision Board for 2025?

Act like the person you want to be, before you become them.

Reply to this email: What’s one limiting belief you struggle with?
We’ll write a newsletter about it!

Have you ever caught yourself thinking,
Once I [achieve this goal], then I’ll be more [trait I want to be]”?

For example, “Once I have more money, then I’ll be more generous.”

Same.

We think the dream job, the right partner, or a fat bank account will make us become the confident, disciplined, fulfilled versions of ourselves.

But spoiler: that’s not how transformation works.

If you’ve ever felt like you need life to change so you can finally become your “best” self, this one’s for you 👇🏻

Welcome to Inspired Idiots.

THE LIMITING BELIEF

“I’ll act like the person I want to be once I ____”

We think external changes—money, success, the right circumstances—will trigger us to transform.

But that’s backward.

Circumstances don’t change who we are—our behavior does.

Think about it: If your dream life suddenly landed in your lap tomorrow, would you know how to handle it?

Probably not, because you’d still be operating from the same beliefs and habits you have today.

The problem isn’t that you’re stuck where you are. It’s that you’re waiting for life to make the first move, when it’s you who needs to go first.

THE ACTION: MAP OUT YOUR FUTURE SELF

  1. Open a blank document on Canva (or whatever creative program you like to use).

  2. Think of real-life figures or fictional characters you admire. What do you like about them? What does it say about the person you aspire to be?

    Here’s my list:

    • Rihanna: Bold, confident, and unapologetically herself.

    • Lara Croft: Brave, independent, and “for the greater good” character.

    • Leila Hormozi: Dominates in business while being real about her insecurities.

    • Salma Hayek: Wise, clever, and the queen of captivating interviews.

    • Mel Robbins: Says everything I wish I’d said first.

    • Beyonce (specifically her Girls vibe): “Strong enough to bear the children, then get back to business.”

    • Taylor Swift: Business savvy and main-character energy.

  3. Grab a photo of your inspirational figures off Google and create your vision board. There’s no “right” way to do this. Just put some music on and have fun.

  4. Ask yourself,

    • What do these traits say about the person I want to be?

    • How can I start embodying them now?

  5. Print that vision board, and stick it somewhere you’ll see it every day.

WHY IT WORKS

Your energy shapes your reality.

When you wait for something outside of you to change, you stay stuck in the loop of inaction.

But when you choose to embody your future self now, you shift your energy.

You stop reacting to life and start creating it.

  • You’ll feel authentic because your actions align with your vision.

  • You’ll spot opportunities because your new energy attracts them.

  • You’ll build confidence because you’re proving to yourself that you’re already capable.

It isn’t magic—it’s mindset.

By showing up as your future self, you prepare for the life you want and make it feel real.

YOUR TAKEAWAY

The person you want to be isn’t living in some distant timeline you’ll reach when life finally clicks into place.

They exist now, waiting for you to step into them.

  • Look at your vision board every single day.

  • Ask yourself, “What would future me do in this situation?”

  • Make choices they’d be proud of.

And when things go wrong? So what? Your future self would stand back up, learn something, and keep going.
