You're about to discover some truths about your life.
These are the first steps I ask my coaching clients to do.

We’ll write a newsletter about it!
Ever feel like you’re carrying emotions you didn’t pack?
You’re moving through your day, handling tasks like a pro, but underneath it all, there’s this undercurrent of “blah.”
Anxiety. Frustration. Or maybe just plain old overwhelm.
If you’ve ever wondered, why do I feel like this?—or worse, why can’t I shake it?—this one’s for you.
Welcome to Inspired Idiots, where we figure it out, together.
THE LIMITING BELIEF
“I can’t control how I feel—it’s just the way things are.”
Here’s the thing about emotions: most of us think we’re at their mercy.
“I’m just stressed because life is stressful.”
“I’m annoyed because work is annoying.”
“I’m overwhelmed because that’s just how it is right now.”
We let the external world call the shots for how we feel inside.
That mindset doesn’t just keep you stuck. It turns emotions into roadblocks instead of guideposts.
Your emotions are signals of what’s out-of-balance in your life. Let’s use them to show us where we’ve veered off-track.
THE ACTION: USE YOUR EMOTIONS AS A GUIDE
Step 1: Check in with yourself.
Take a look at this emotions exercise I’ve created (see visual). Pick five emotions you’ve been feeling lately. Don’t overthink it—just go with your gut.
Now, for each one, write the answer to this question:
“I think I’ve been feeling this way lately because of…”
Maybe stress comes from an overloaded schedule. Or frustration stems from unmet expectations. Whatever it is, observe it without judgment.
Step 2: The Wheel of Life.
Once you’ve named your emotions, it’s time to zoom out.
Use the Wheel of Life (visual included) to map out how satisfied you are in different areas of life—career, relationships, health, fun, and more.
Mark your current level of satisfaction on a scale from 1-10. The new circle you create will reveal your life’s current balance—or lack thereof.
This is your starting point. Now, you can set goals for the areas that need attention, with clarity on where you want to feel better.
WHY IT WORKS
Naming your emotions and examining your balance forces you to pause.
No more default mode. No more emotional autopilot.
When you see where you’re at—emotionally and practically—you give yourself the power to decide where to go next.
The Wheel of Life works because it shows you the full picture. Instead of reacting to one overwhelming emotion, you’re creating a roadmap for growth.
It’s not about fixing everything at once. It’s about small shifts toward balance.
YOUR TAKEAWAY
Your emotions are trying to tell you something.
They’re not just here to make you stressed, anxious, or exhausted. They’re guideposts for what needs attention in your life.
The first step is paying attention.
So grab a pen, try these exercises, and let’s start the process of moving you from stuck to strong.
As always, I’m here if you need help along the way.
